KEUNE IS A CERTIFIED B CORP
Woohoo we’re officially a B Corporation! As a family-owned business, we work hard to leave the world a better place for future generations. Officially getting the B Corp certification confirms our efforts are paying off (and that we’re objectively doing a pretty good job). Here’s what it means, for us and for you.

Eelco Keune, CEO:
“We are confident that the steps we take today have a lasting impact on the world tomorrow. As a family-owned business, we have been aware of our role in society for over a century. We have taken this responsibility seriously for three generations. Becoming a B Corp is the recognition of our commitment. We are focused on passing the company to future generations and preserving the planet.”ationen weiterzugeben und den Planeten zu erhalten.”
WHAT IS B CORP?
The B Corp certification is awarded to companies that meet the highest standards of sustainability and social responsibility. Consider it a gold reward for our hard work towards becoming the best company we can be.
WHAT ARE WE DOING ALREADY?
We’ve already made great steps into becoming - and staying - a better business in all areas.
Production
We’re taking big sustainability steps, from a fully electric fleet by 2025 to the use of solar panels on our Dutch HQ (generating almost half of our electricity in 2022). We also make sure our suppliers uphold ethical and eco-friendly standards and have a zero-tolerance policy for human rights violations. And we always produce cruelty-free.
Products
We source certified sustainable palm oil, and paper/ cardboard packaging made from recycled or certified materials. By 2030, all our packaging will be recyclable, reusable and/or refillable.
People
Without our people, there’s no Keune. We value our teams and commit to investing in the best possible working conditions and benefits. From financial support during the energy crisis to a quit smoking program, and much more.
..And that’s only the beginning! While we’re super proud to have achieved this certification, there is many more to come! Every 3 years there is a check-in to see if we have made new steps.
WHERE DO WE NEED TO IMPROVE ON?
We’re proud to be part of this group of movers and shakers but we keep striving to contribute to a better world. We have set multiple goals here:
• Cutting our carbon footprint
• Giving back to communities
• Reusing water from our factories
• Recycling production waste
• Using low-impact bio-based ingredients
• High-quality recyclable packaging
• Working with traceable ingredients
• Improving the well-being of our people
